BIEBER FEVER?

As I was reading Yahoo news I could not help but notice that Justin Bieber has gotten two tatoo’s recently. the fact that he is 17 means he either got both tattoos done in the united states with parental consent or he did them both out of the country. one of the tattoos Justin got was in hebrew saying Yeshua which means jesus.  this makes me wonder Bieber fever? is it Bieber fever people are having or is just having a fever himself! I am all for the freedom of speech and even though I would never get a tattoo and it is against my culture I do not judge either who do but I have a problem that he is doing it. since he is a favorite for many kids now they will think what he is doing is okay even though it isn’t even legal! let alone the fact that it is against the jewish religion to get tatoos let alone he got one in hebrew which is the jewish language. that is something I will never understand that people do. I wonder if this is going to bring Justin’s fan base down or if it will keep it the same. after all Justin’s fans are going to his concerts and having his stuff sold out by the parents who are purchasing these things for their young children. i wonder how fond they are of his tattoos!!!!

Saving Lives or Ruining Them?

Today, I had to stop by Cedar Sinai Hospital after work to visit someone who just came out of surgery. I always knew hospital’s were a sad and depressing place to be where miracles take place as well as the thing farthest from miracles. For some reason as I walked down the halls I remembered how depressing they truely were. And as I remembered I wondered how I forgot they were this whole time … And then it hit me. Grey’s Anatomy, ER, etc were shows that represent hospitals as well as the lives of the doctors and nurses and all of the love and drama that comes along with working in a hospital. I have so many friends that want to go into the proffesion of becoming a nurse or doctor and I couldn’t help but think why? Why would you want to work inside a building all day or night long depending the shift with people who are sick? I do commend anyone and everyone who is in that field but as I was sitting there with a fake smile on my face and a feeling like I had a fist stuck in my throat I couldn’t help but wonder who could want to do this everyday of their lives and why this is such a popular field to work in.  I guess that’s why medical school is so hard and strenuous it isn’t for everyone right?

Honesty Is Always the Best Policy!!

Lately I have been wondering why people are not honest? My parents always raised me in a house where once you lie you get caught in your lies and therefore you will end up getting caught in them. I have been noitcing a work some people have been caught for dishonesty which is a shame in a company where they easily give trust to their employees. One employer was caught doing time fraud by clocking in for a time different then she came in while another one was cuaght doing false returns and giving people she knew store credits that were not truthfully theirs to begin with. That is why i decided to write about honesty and telling the truth. I am a big believer in Karma and what goes around comes back around. I hope that people will learn from their mistakes and not make the same ones i just wish that people would not have to make them in the first place. But then again I try to remember that not everyone was born and raised with the same parents that I was given who instilled how important honesty is.

The Holstee Manifesto 2009

The Holstee Manifesto is something that i stumbled across tonight while on one of my friends facebook pages. After reading each and every word, each and every line, and the meaning of everything that was written i realized how true everything that is said means! Sentences like “life is short” or “getting lost will help you find yourself” or my personal favorite ” stop over analyzing, life is simple.” While reading this manifesto i thought many thing but the main thing that popped into my head was positivity. For over two months now i have been staying positivity and thinking positive everyday. If i was in a bad mood i would snap out of it and think positive becuase at the end of the day i am a true believer in the law of attraction!

This manifesto is something that i would go buy on a daily basis. It is important to understand the meaning of words and connect them. These words that are written ae so simple but have a lot of meaning! I am a big fan of this manifesto and want to order the poster of it to hang in my room!! Thought i would share this with the rest of you since i loved it so much and was so happy i stumbled upon it!

Something Borrowed

Something Borrowed is a chick flick that has recently come out that has hit many movie theaters. It is something that many girls can relate to .. a best friend that thinks they are the center of attention. While watching the movie i couldnt help but laugh during some of the scenes. That friend that is always focused on herself, always thinking they are the center of attention, always making sure they become the center of attention even they are not at that moment, that friend that is in it for themselves.

In Something Borrowed, Rachel is a 30 year old single lawyer in New York City watching her self absored, in it for herself best friend Darcy marry the love of her life. Her school mate, best friend, secret crush Dex. She never was able to express her true feelings for Dex becuase at first she was shy but eventually Darcy had made her move on him for herself.

In a movie of lies and secrets and much contemplation Rachel and Dex eventually get together but what happens in the end? Does Rachel do what is best for her but ruin her friendship with Darcy? After all, since they were babies Darcy was always number 1….

The perfect way to describe the amazing LA weather we have been having is a very popular line in one of Kanye West’s songs, “And the weather so breezy, man why can’t life always be this easy.” I love summertime and i love the heat. This past week LA has been having an amazing week for those of us who like the heat. Since last week we have been having weather in the 80′s and 90′s and its been changing my mood. I love waking up to the sun and being able to dress in summertime clothes! I know not everyone can agree with me but I know many who have been. This weather makes many of us want to be outdoors and enjoy this weather. from laying at a pool, to enjoying a meal at a restaurant outdoors, to going surfing for the day many of us have been find ourselves outside with our sunglasses on and wearing shorts. I hope this weather doesn’t leave and stays till the end of the summer because I really am enjoying every minute of it and hope you all are as well!

The Pro’s & Con’s of Working Retail

In September of 2011 it was be the third year that I am working in retail. There are many pro’s and con’s that come along with this job. In my blog i will talk about my favorite parts as well my most hated. Working retail is something that i believe everyone should do because everyone does shop.  Before I started working retail I never knew how hard this job could be! You constantly need to fold which can get extremely boring and the customer is always right even if they are rude and snobby. Working on commission can also be very difficult because you are constantly in competition with your coworkers and it becomes a competition of who knows the most in the store and who is more aggressive in sales. Now that i have mentioned the parts i do not like about retail I can also talk about some of the pro’s. I love the fashion aspect of it because I love watching they styles of high-end clothing coming out as well as what brands do well. i love working on Robertson and seeing and helping the different types of customers that shop on this very busy street. Working retail can be difficult but it is something that only some can handle. it takes a lot of work, patience, and good social skills. these are three traits that not everyone has and that’s why I like having this job while I am in college.
